If you are interested in traveling "Beyond the Upper Valley" this weekend there are great events taking place in many different regions of Vermont. Start in Burlington on Friday with a taste of spring at The 2015 Vermont Flower Show, "Spring Reflections," which begins on Friday and continues through Sunday. While in Burlington, consider one of two venues offering musical performances Friday night: blues performer Eric Bibb at the University of Vermont (including a pre-performance talk) and the Fred Hersch Trio at the Flynn Center, Burlington's historic theater.
On Saturday, travel to Vermont's Northeast Kingdom (NEK) where the Fourth Annual Winterbike at Kingdom Trails in East Burke is happening. You can demo fatbikes, enjoy food, music, and the beautiful winter landscape. While in the NEK be sure to stop by the Galusha Hill Farm Lodge open house to tour the farm estate and take the opportunity to snowshoe or cross-country ski around the grounds. If you are looking for additional outdoor activities around the NEK, make your way to the Peacham Winter Carnival which is taking place all weekend with many family-friendly events.
End your "Beyond the Upper Valley" weekend, with a Sunday drive to Brattleboro for the New England Center for Circus Arts annual fundraiser performance, Circus Spectacular at the historic Latchis Theater. Enjoy!
