This year’s election for the Board of the Hanover/Lebanon/White River Food Coop is under way, and continues through April 26th. I’m sure you’re aware of the conflict between the Coop board and a group of members since two long-time employees were fired last June. There is resulting disagreement about how the board should conduct itself in such situations and in running the business as a whole.
That makes this election very important. Historically, the board has been elected by a tiny percentage of members. Please, if you’re a Coop member, VOTE. It almost doesn’t matter which ‘side’ wins this time, as long as the result reflects the will of the membership – or at least significantly more of the membership.
Either use your paper ballot (these were mailed a little over two weeks ago), or go to http://www.mycoopvote.com. Your mailing and the web site include a statement from each candidate, so you needn’t vote ‘blind.’
**Be sure to read the voting directions carefully and to vote only ONCE PER Member Number or your vote will be invalidated.**
Thanks for your indulgence.
