Since there was a nice response to my query about bread for Easter, I have decided to add a special bake this Saturday. I will be making Swedish Limpa Rye (flavored with orange, anise, and fennel), and Ukrainian Paska (a lightly citrus, slightly sweet egg bread, of the same family as Challah but not quite as light). Several people wrote to reserve loaves on Monday, and I think I got everyone, but if you are interested in some of these loaves - they’ll be $7 each - please let me know again.
I’m hoping for a standard 5:30 delivery to the café in S. Strafford with pickups at the house available for those who would prefer that option.
There’s also a possibility that I might be able to convince Calli to produce a batch of Ginger Molasses cookies that I would then have at the café as well.
