Description: The Ray Family left Strafford and spent a year in Asia. See and hear about their adventure: living, traveling, working, and homeschooling in a different continent.

This is what Lys had to say about how the adventure began:

"It was the end of June when the out-of-the-blue job offer came in... We had six weeks to pack up the house and kids (and get last-minutes visas!) and make all the necessary arrangements to spend a year living in Shanghai, China.  After a decade as a stay-at-home mom, Lys was going to join Vermont International Academy, a brand-new joint venture high school program between the State of Vermont and the Chinese Government.  Dus was going to take a sabbatical from his job at DHMC and suddenly become not only a stay-at-home dad but one who was going to homeschool all five kids!  To say that it was an adventure is hardly even the beginning..."
