I'm sending a piece of artwork to italy for a memorial exhibit that may travel. Pieces [paintings/scrolls] may have a price on them, but they are not selling the work at the show. does anyone have experience w/ customs mail inspection, and duty costs on the other end?can i insure it, w/out making the receiver have to pay fees for duty for the declared value? and are items confiscated often? i there a way to do it that makes it all get there more smoothly?
thanks for any help;-)) Susan JohnsonHartford
