Reading Study Needs 4th and 5th Grade* Boys
The Reading Brains Lab in the Education Department at Dartmouth College is =
conducting a research study on the development of reading. If you are a par=
ent of a 4th or 5th grade* boy, your son can come to the lab to read and ha=
ve his brain waves (EEG) recorded. Children will get to see their own brain=
waves in real time. We are looking for right-handed children who speak onl=
y English fluently and have no history of reading or neurological disorders.
The study takes about 3 hours (with lots of breaks) and can be done in 1 or=
2 visits. Participants will receive small prizes and will be compensated f=
or their time. To participate or for more information, please call 603.646.=
6577 or e-mail Reading.Brains.Lab@Dartmouth.edu. Spots are still open for =
this week before school starts!
*For summer 2013, students who completed fourth or fifth grade during the p=
ast school year (2012-2013) and are starting fifth or sixth grade this fall=
are eligible to participate.

A portion of each ticket and each bottle of wine ordered at the event will
be donated to the Women's Leadership Council of the Granite United Way, a
community organization which educates members about the most pressing
community issues and how Granite United Way works to create opportunities
for a better life for all, engages women in the causes to which they give,
and empowers women to ask questions, gain a deeper understanding of the
community=92s needs, and initiate innovative programs.
If the opportunity to taste a score of delicious wines for a great cause
after work this Wednesday, August 21 is not enough to wet your whistle,
several local vendors will also be on site that evening providing
complimentary samples of My Brigadeiro's scrumptious handmade organic
chocolates, King Arthur Flour tasty breads & spreads, and a fresh fruit &
cheese tray from the Norwich Inn!
Tickets will be available at the door for $20.00 each, or please contact
firstname.lastname@example.org regarding availability of pre-order tickets ($15
per person). Included in each ticket is a complimentary $5.00 coupon
towards your next meal at the Norwich Inn, and all featured wines at the
event will be available at a 10% discount off their normal price tags.
